The Post-Jam Patch Is Here
Heya!
First of all I wanted to thank everyone who's played and criticized my game "Stranger At Home" for the GoedWare Jam #11, thanks to you a few bugs, oversights and just generally bad design decisions were made known to me. With this patch I tried to fix as much as I could without making the game feel easier. It's still not a perfect game but I think a lot of things are better now.
Here's what's changed:
- You now start a day later, reducing the time you need to survive. All the events from the first day have been moved to the second day and all the events from the second day have been moved to the third, as to make the second day the new "first" day.
- Time goes by a lot faster, making for less down time but also affecting your stats faster
- Enemies no longer unfairly spawn during activities
- Some events have reduced timers
It's not much, but I hope this makes the game a bit more playable. If there are any game breaking bugs I might consider working on another patch later on but for now I am happy with how the game turned out. I'm leaving the version from before the Jam up for anyone that wants to see how far the game has gotten within the ten day time limit. I hope y'all enjoy playing the game as much as I enjoyed making it and I wish you a wonderful day!
